Search Issued: Sarajevo Police Arrest Man for Possession of Unlicensed Weapon

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Sarajevo police on Thursday at 10:25 PM in VII Transferzala street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, stopped and controlled a passenger motor vehicle of the brand "Peugeot 206", driven by driver M.Ž., born in 1987 in Prijepolje, residing in Sarajevo.

"A pistol of the brand "ČZ - Praha", caliber 6.35 mm, with a magazine and six bullets of the same caliber, for which he does not possess a permit from the competent authority, was confiscated from M.Ž. Checks revealed that M.Ž. was wanted by the Municipal Court in Sarajevo," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton announced.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal offense under Article 74 of ZONDINOIM, M.Ž. was deprived of his liberty and handed over to the premises for securing facilities and detaining persons deprived of liberty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed about the above. Police officers are continuing their work on documenting the mentioned criminal offense.
