SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Following last night's shooting in Gradačac in which a police officer was injured, two people have been arrested, while one is on the run.
An investigation is underway conducted by the duty prosecutor and investigators of the SKP MUP TK. Two individuals involved in the events have been deprived of their liberty and are undergoing criminal processing. One suspect is on the run and is being searched for. While the search and other investigative actions are ongoing, we are unable to provide more information – said the spokesperson for the TK Prosecutor's Office, Admir Arnautović, for Tuzlanski.ba.
N1 reports that everything happened after the police received a report about cannabis plantations in that area and went to intervene. At the same time, the persons responsible for the cannabis plantations were at the location and opened fire on the police. One police officer sustained multiple injuries and was urgently transported to UKC Tuzla.
He is currently in stable condition. The police commissioner is expected to visit him soon.
The person on the run is believed to be most responsible for the entire incident.
