Raiffeisen Bank: We will refund overcharged fees to legal entities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Raiffeisen Bank faced criticism from legal entities today due to increased account management fees, with some packages seeing an increase of up to 10 KM. The bank issued a statement to the public this evening.

"Aware of the challenges faced by all clients in the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Raiffeisen Bank has provided various facilitations for its clients. Namely, in addition to striving to support all our clients affected by the new situation through moratoriums to alleviate their financial pressure, the bank has also decided to refund overcharged fees for account management services and account packages for legal entities, and to maintain the current prices of these services.

Clients were previously informed, via their monthly statements, about the change in fee tariffs for monthly account management fees and account package fees for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), effective from March 31, 2020. In this case, it was solely a business decision made in January 2020 after the new account packages for SME were presented and communicated to clients before the current situation arose.

We also wish to emphasize that Raiffeisen Bank has never used extraordinary situations to increase its service fees. We are making maximum efforts to facilitate business with the Bank for our clients as much as possible.
