Radončić meets with representatives of families of BiH citizens in Syrian camps

(Patria) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fahrudin Radončić received representatives and family members of BiH citizens who are in the Al-Hol and Al-Roj camps in Syria today. Alema Dolamić, whose sister with her children has been in the camp for the third year, says that the goal is to return to BiH as soon as possible, and that they are prepared to face legal consequences if they are found to exist. Other members of the delegation, which included Safet Sinanović, Sead M. Mujčinović, Šaćir Gostevčić, and Senija Muhamedagić, stated that due to the cold and inhumane conditions, children, some of whom are seriously ill, are particularly struggling with their stay in the camp. The total number emphasized today is around 100, primarily children and women.

Minister Radončić emphasized that BiH has an obligation to receive BiH citizens who stayed in the territories of Syria and Iraq and that the institutions are ready for this challenge. In this regard, Radončić supported the recent decision of the Presidency of BiH. He stressed that all those who participated as foreign fighters in terrorist organizations will be sanctioned, with which the families absolutely agree. In addition, de-radicalization and socialization of all returnees were also discussed. Radončić emphasized that the representatives of the families who were in his office today can do a lot in this process in the future.
