Radončić, even before arrest and in court, accused Izetbegović of fabricating the process

SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić was arrested on January 25 this year. He was ordered into pre-trial detention. At the hearing held in February, when the decision was made that he would be released to house arrest with restrictive measures, Radončić accused "SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović and parts of the SDA of fabricating and orchestrating a court process" in the courtroom, writes the Patria News Agency.

He also said that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has been targeting him for a long time. Although his party is in a coalition with the SDA, Radončić called his case revenge, due to the compromise that he would be the SDA and SBB candidate in 2018 for a member of the BiH Presidency because Bakir Izetbegović could not run for a third term.

Furthermore, he stated in court that the BiH Prosecutor's Office was trying to discipline the media through him.

At that hearing, prosecutor Božo Mihajlović also read out a conversation between Radončić and doctor Emir Talirević, who was asking him to publish an affirmative article in "Dnevni avaz" about Izetbegović's wife, Sebija, who is the director of the Sarajevo hospital.

- It's too late now. Bakir cannot frame me for 20 years in prison, and I protect his wife. After a year and a half, during which Keljmendi is framing me, a counter-offensive is coming. Bakir and Osmica killed Ćelo. Not Keljmendi, but Bakir and Osmica - Radončić said.

When he was released from the detention unit in mid-February, after being placed under house arrest, Radončić addressed the journalists.

When asked by a journalist what he meant when he spoke of a politically orchestrated process, he explained:

- You, in my position, know very well whether you are prone to criminal activities or not. If someone frames you for pressuring non-existent, irrelevant, unimportant, or unknown witnesses, you know best what that is called.

When asked who was framing him, he said:

- There will be time to talk about it. This is not the moment.

On Friday, March 4, when he was returned to the detention unit of the Court of BiH for violating restrictive measures, Fahrudin Radončić stated at the hearing that the BiH Prosecutor's Office had a tendency to present him as unreliable and to turn him from a respected politician and industrialist into a common criminal.

- That is why this is a politically motivated process and the needs of one man who has deluded himself into leading two parties - said Radončić, adding that upon leaving the Court of BiH, he managed to read only the title of the decision.

Although he did not name who this one man was, it is clear that it refers to SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović.

Even before he was arrested, the SBB leader publicly accused some high-ranking SDA officials in interviews of framing him, specifically naming Aljoša Čampara and Asim Sarajlić.

Then, the vice-president of SBB, Mirsad Đonlagić, repeated the same when the party leader was first in detention. He publicly identified Čampara and Sarajlić as those who prepared the arrest of his president.

- This was done by someone who benefits from this entire situation. We have the impression that this is not about the independence of the judiciary, but someone's game, which time will show - said Đonlagić.
