Radončić and Izetbegović silent on Palestine's suffering, only Dr. Cerić speaks out!

Out of 10 Bosniak candidates for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, only Dr. Mustafa Cerić has publicly spoken out against Israeli violence in Gaza so far, reports the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

Condemnation and opposition to the killings in Palestine is a direct responsibility of the BiH Presidency, which conducts foreign policy, and its current members, as well as candidates who wish to be members and representatives of Bosniaks, are expected to state their position. However, with the exception of Dr. Cerić, an independent candidate, all others remain silent.

Neither Bakir Izetbegović, the current chairman, nor Fahrudin Radončić, Bakir Hadžiomerović, Emir Suljagić, Sefer Halilović, Mirsad Kebo, Adil Žigić, Halil Tuzlić, nor Džebrail Bajramović have condemned the killing of Palestinians. At the same time, the outrage of BiH citizens, mostly Bosniaks, due to the rocket and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip and the killing of hundreds of innocent civilians is growing.

Protests are daily, and the Bosniak people sympathize with the tragedy of a people who, just like Bosniaks, have been and are the target of systematic genocide. Dr. Cerić reacted at the very beginning of the attacks.

- We Bosniaks best know and understand how the Palestinian people feel. Therefore, we expect our country and our political representatives to be at the forefront of those advocating for peace and stability in the Middle East. Their voice must be heard. The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosniaks are victims of genocide and have a moral obligation to constantly warn the world that violence, aggression, and genocide must not be tolerated anywhere – Dr. Cerić stated on July 10th this year.

The shedding of innocent civilian blood must stop immediately, and Bosnia and Herzegovina has a moral obligation to raise its voice more strongly against the violence in Gaza, Dr. Cerić announced at the time.

- All those who have influence, the entire international community, must not remain silent in the face of such violence. It is unacceptable to common sense to kill children, women, and unarmed civilians. Palestine and the entire Middle East deserve peace and stability, just like any other part of the world. Courage for peace must be shown – it was stated in Dr. Cerić's statement, reports NAP.
