Sarajevo utility workers to receive salary increases of 80 and 100 KM

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Negotiating teams of the KS Government and the Independent Trade Union of the Utility Economy of KS have agreed on the final text of the collective agreement, which KS Prime Minister Edin Forto is expected to sign next week.

This information was confirmed by the Minister of Utility Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection Enver Hadžiahmetović, who stated that the salaries of employees in cantonal public utility companies will be increased. Workers earning up to 1000 KM will receive an increase of 100 KM, while those earning 1,000 KM and more will receive an increase of 80 KM.

"This is the first government in 15 years to increase the price of labor for utility company workers. We have expressed empathy towards those workers with the lowest salaries, as the increase will be such that they will receive the most. Our interest was to increase the salaries of this category," said Hadžiahmetović.
