If the Cantonal Court in Novi Travnik does not clarify the exact date of the final verdict that is blocking the operations of the company „Steelmin BH'' d.o.o. Jajce, workers have announced a blockade of the Jajce-Donji Vakuf road on Friday, September 18 at 11 a.m., reports the Patria news agency.
-Since we have not yet heard a decisive statement on when, on which date to expect the requested verdict, but only a very vague response that the case will be taken into consideration in the near future, we inform the public of the possibility of a road blockade.
If, in the meantime, the court responds within the previously given three-day deadline, and provides us with precise information on the date of the verdict, we will abandon the blockade, states the announcement from the Committee of Laid-off Workers and the Employees' Council.
The company Steelmin BH was founded in 2011 and includes furnaces 4 and 5, which once belonged to the industrial giant from Jajce, the company Elektrobosna. The company's management recently informed the public and representatives of the Bosnian authorities that, due to the lengthy court proceedings, it is forced to immediately close the company until the disputes are resolved.
As a result, 60 workers have been laid off, and the company has been closed.
