Skenderija workers demand payment of back wages

More than a hundred employees of "Centar Skenderija" are demanding payment of one salary and meal allowance from the management of this state-owned company, no later than Monday, writes the BH news agency Patria.

If the Management does not secure funds for the workers by the beginning of next week, the employees announce a work stoppage.
One of the employees of Centar Skenderija said that the Management owes him three salaries and four meal allowances. He and his colleagues, he said, will not allow a once-promising company to now sink into debt.

The General Director of Centar Skenderija, Hajriz Bećirović, told the Patria agency that the Management is making efforts to secure salaries for the employees as soon as possible. The company, he said, is facing problems due to slow debt collection.

Bećirović said that the Management will make additional efforts to ensure that employees receive their salaries next week, writes Patria.
