Krivaja-Mobel workers on the street again: Zenica - Zavidovići road blocked from 11 AM

Around 250 Krivaja-Mobel workers will block the M17 main road in the town of Želeća near Zavidovići, after the FBiH Government refused to help them terminate the contract with the Joint Venture Group, which bought the company in 2014.

Besim Husić, one of the workers' representatives, told NAP that the workers are heading to Želeća by bus. The road will be blocked around 11 AM.

More than 700 Krivaja-Mobel workers from Zavidovići requested help from Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and his advisors at the beginning of May. Two hours after promising help to the workers, the Government declared itself incompetent in the Krivaja case.

The Joint Venture Group, which took over the company two years ago, is not fulfilling its obligations to the workers, nor have they created new jobs. They are also not repaying the inherited loan. The workers are demanding an urgent termination of the contract with the Joint Venture Group and the sale of the company to a new investor. While there is still a chance for Krivaja's recovery.

This is not the first time Krivaja workers have blocked the road in protest of the agony they are in, but there is still no end in sight to their problems, writes NAP.
