Radivojević handed over to the KS Prosecutor's Office

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Desnica Radivojević, former deputy prime minister and minister of spatial planning in the FBiH Government, was handed over this morning for further jurisdiction to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.

He was arrested yesterday as part of the police operation codenamed “Farmer“ on suspicion of mediating in the illegal allocation of donated tractors.

Radivojević is a former high-ranking official of the SDA. He was also a long-time member of the SDA Presidency, and for a time served as vice president of the Federation.

Radivojević was a member of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament from 2006, and was appointed minister of trade in the FBiH Government in 2007. He was elected minister of spatial planning in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 17, 2011.

According to the FUP, Radivojević is suspected of committing criminal offenses of “Association for the commission of a criminal offense”, in connection with the criminal offenses of “Abuse of position or authority”.

In the "Farmer" operation, which began on March 31, eight people were previously arrested, suspected of having, in the period from 2014 to mid-2015, as members of the Commission for the allocation of agricultural machinery on behalf of the FBiH Government and other persons close to them, carried out illegal and improper distribution and sale of agricultural equipment and machinery donated by the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, worth more than 1,000,000 KM, intended for beneficiaries from the FBiH affected by floods, by selling it for cash directly to beneficiaries or through intermediaries at significantly lower market prices, all with the aim of gaining unlawful property benefits.
