Workshops: How to Overcome Manipulations in the Reconciliation Process

The Club for Recreation of Youth and Persons with Disabilities „MASA“ Mostar is organizing workshops „How to Overcome Manipulations in the Reconciliation Process?“. The workshops will be held on February 18 and 19, 2017, starting at 11:00 AM at the premises of the Center for Culture Mostar.

The workshops will enable participants to create shared positive life experiences and acquire knowledge and skills that will contribute to the reconciliation process in two communities - Mostar and Nevesinje.

The workshops are organized within the project „Dialogue for Peace“, whose main goal is to support the building of mutual trust and reconciliation - through breaking stereotypes about multi-ethnic cooperation/friendship as an exception or phenomenon, and through helping young people overcome negative stereotypes and understand the common interests of citizens of different backgrounds, by promoting good practices and experiences in overcoming social conflicts among members of different peoples and groups of citizens, and by creating space for meeting and dialogue among them.

The workshops will involve 30 participants from Mostar and Nevesinje.

The project „Dialogue for Peace“ is supported by the USAID project PRO-Future implemented by Catholic Relief Services in cooperation with the Mozaik Foundation, Caritas BIH, the Tuzla Citizens' Forum, the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly Banja Luka, and the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Patria reports.
