
Today in Banja Luka, an info workshop titled "Raising Standards and Product Quality in the Meat Industry" was held, attended by more than thirty participants from the meat industry in BiH, reports the Patrija news agency.
Within the joint GIZ&MESSER BH Gas project called "Possibilities of Gas Application and Practical Training in Secondary Schools" and in cooperation with the Enterprise Development Agency EDA from Banja Luka, this info workshop was organized for representatives of the meat industry, with the aim of education and pointing out the possibilities of gas application in that industry, as well as informing the economy, improving production, raising standards and quality of the produced goods.
This is the third such workshop on the topic of gas application in various economic and industrial sectors.
At the workshop, models of using these gases in the meat industry were demonstrated, as well as the benefits that the BiH economy can have by using these gases in its various sectors. The advantages lie in raising standards through the use of gases in production, in quality and durability, as well as in the possibility of placing products on more demanding markets.
Zdravko Salopek from MESSER Croatia Plina presented the methods of using gases in food. He explained what can be achieved by using CO2, Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen, Hydrogen and other mixed gases in food preservation, MAP packaging, freezing, and showed the difference between conventional and cryogenic freezing methods. The benefits of using gases were highlighted, concerning material savings, reduced weight loss of frozen foods, maintaining the quality and durability of meat products, etc.
-Given that Messer is the world's leading producer and supplier of gases, through this cooperation the BiH economy will gain a clearer and more concrete picture of the importance of applying food gases in many industrial and economic sectors. pointed out the General Director of Messer BH Gas, Valentin Ilievski, regarding the goals and results of the joint GIZ&MESSER BH Gas project, and announced new educational seminars that will help BiH entrepreneurs take advantage of all the benefits offered to them on the market.
