Radeljaš sentenced to a unified prison term of two years under a second indictment

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Under the second indictment from the KS Prosecutor's Office, Esed Radeljaš has been found guilty and sentenced to a unified term of two years in prison. He was convicted of the criminal offense of money laundering by spending 114,255 KM, intended for financing the BOSS political party, for personal purposes.

However, as he has been in custody for more than two years, the prison sentence will be credited to his time served.

The court has decided that Radeljaš will be released from custody immediately, but he is obliged to cover the costs of the proceedings amounting to 114,000 KM. The Prosecutor's Office has the right to appeal these verdicts to the Supreme Court of FBiH.
Muhidin Kapo, Esed Radeljaš's lawyer, stated that he had claimed from the beginning that Radeljaš had nothing to do with this criminal offense and that the Prosecutor's Office had retrieved it from the archives.
