Raid at Trezor: Eight persons deprived of liberty, drugs and cold weapons found, facility closed

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - During last night, acting on a previously prepared Operational Plan, police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton carried out a raid in the catering facility "Trezor" on Kranjčevićeva Street, in the area of the Centar Sarajevo municipality, where about 100 persons were found.

"On that occasion, eight persons were deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses, seven on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses under Article 239 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs), and one person on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Unauthorized production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs). A certain amount of various types of drugs was found on them and temporarily confiscated, while a certain amount of drugs was also found in the facility as discarded, and it was seized as part of the investigation, which was carried out under the authorization of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, which is informed about the above and under whose supervision further work on documenting the committed criminal offenses continues. A cold weapon was found on one person, and legally prescribed measures and actions will be taken against him", it was announced from the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. 

During the mentioned activities, inspectors of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs, assisted by police officers in performing tasks within their competence, issued misdemeanor warrants to the responsible person with imposed fines totaling 7,000.00 KM, as well as a measure of temporary prohibition of operation of the said facility, after which the facility was closed. The eight persons who were deprived of liberty were placed in the detention rooms for persons deprived of liberty of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, and they will be subjected to criminal processing during the day. Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton continue further work on documenting the committed criminal offenses.

More details in terms of the initials of the suspected persons and the type and quantity of confiscated drugs will be known after the activities related to this operation are completely concluded, and most likely that information will be available during tomorrow's day, it was announced.
