Putin's envoy tells Kaja Kallas that no defence system can stop Oreshnik

(Patria) - Russian special presidential envoy for foreign investment and economic cooperation Kirill Dmitriev told EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas that there are no air defence systems capable of intercepting the Oreshnik, Tass reports.

"Kaja (Kallas) is not very smart nor informed, but even she should know that there is no air defence against the hypersonic Oreshnik missile with a speed of Mach 10," Dmitriev wrote on social media X, commenting on Kallas's statements after the Russian military attack with the Oreshnik.

Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry announced that it had carried out a massive strike on critical Ukrainian targets, including an attack with the Oreshnik missile system, in response to Kyiv's December attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region.

The ministry said the objectives of the attack were achieved.
