Putin's Spokesperson Hospitalized Due to Coronavirus Infection

(Patria) – Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has been hospitalized due to coronavirus infection.

The number of infected high-ranking government officials in Russia is growing; in addition to Russian Prime Minister Mishustin, the infection has been confirmed in Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Construction and Housing Vladimir Yakushev who is hospitalized, as well as Deputy Minister Dmitry Volkov.

Peskov told the Interfax news agency to confirm the reports: 'Yes, I got sick. I am undergoing treatment,' the Kremlin spokesperson briefly confirmed.

He stated for Russian media that he last met with President Putin more than a month ago.

His wife, Tatyana Navka, a famous ice skating champion, is also infected.
