(Patria) - Foreign citizens who have concluded a contract with the Armed Forces of Russia during the "special military operation", as Moscow calls the invasion of neighboring Ukraine, will be able to apply for Russian citizenship, according to a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tass agency reported.
According to the document, foreigners who left service during the "special military operation" for health reasons, upon reaching the age limit, or after the lifting of martial law, also have the right to choose.
According to the decree, their relatives will also be granted the right to apply for Russian citizenship.
