Putin announced that the first vaccine against coronavirus has been registered in Russia

(Patria) - Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the first vaccine against coronavirus has been registered in Russia.

He emphasized that the vaccine works quite effectively, forms stable immunity, and has passed all necessary checks. Putin also said he expects mass production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus in the near future.

"I hope that we will be able to launch mass production in the near future, and that is what is important - mass production of this drug. So that everyone who wants to, of course, should do it exclusively voluntarily, which I have already spoken about many times, everyone who wants to can use the development and achievements of our specialists, our scientists," Putin said.

The Russian leader also thanked everyone who worked on the first vaccine and emphasized that it is a very important step for the whole world. He added that his daughter tested this vaccine.

"One of my daughters received such a vaccine. In this regard, she participated in the experiment. After the first vaccination, she had a temperature of 38, the next day slightly above 37, and that's it," Putin said.

He expressed hope that other countries, following Russia, will develop vaccines against coronavirus and that there will be enough preparations on the world market that can be used.

The World Health Organization declared a pandemic of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, on March 11. According to the latest data, more than 20 million people have been infected worldwide to date, with more than 739,000 deaths.
