(Patria) - Ahead of his state visit to Kazakhstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin published an article on relations between the two countries in the newspaper Kazahstanskaya Pravda, TASS reported last night.
The article, titled “Russia-Kazakhstan: An Alliance at the Heart of Eurasia,” was also posted on the Kremlin’s website.
Putin writes about the current state and prospects of Russian-Kazakh relations and highlights the friendly ties between Russia and Kazakhstan, and between himself and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Putin emphasizes key areas of cooperation that promote the prosperity of the two countries, such as the commitment of the Russian and Kazakh peoples to the legacy of victory in World War II and respect for the Russian language.
Publishing articles or interviews on bilateral relations in the key media of the countries to be visited is a long-standing diplomatic tradition that Vladimir Putin tries to maintain.
When state or official visits by foreign leaders to Russia are announced, they often publish articles in the Russian media.
