Putin ordered the formation of a security buffer zone on the border with Ukraine

(Patria) - A decision has been made to create a security buffer zone along the border between Russia and Ukraine.

The Russian armed forces are currently resolving this issue, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that Ukraine's firing positions are being actively suppressed.

According to him, the methods used by the Ukrainian armed forces are "terrorist".

Speaking about his visit to the occupied Kursk region and direct dialogue with locals, he said that the residents of the Kursk region are facing open terrorist actions by the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

- We discussed the issues that concern people the most – residents of villages and towns that have suffered from shelling and combat operations and from those terrorist methods used by Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries – Putin said.

As he stated, the enemy chooses targets that have no military significance – civilian objects, houses, people.

- Today's events only confirm what I just said – said the head of state at a meeting with members of the Russian government.

Putin ordered the preparation of a comprehensive program for the restoration of the affected areas of the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health, and other departments should be involved in the development of the program.
