(Patria) - Donbas and Novorossiya, as Moscow calls parts of the occupied Ukrainian territories, must reach the all-Russian level in all indicators, including quality of life by 2030, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the socio-economic development of these regions, TASS reported.
"By 2030, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts must reach the all-Russian level in all indicators and in the quality of life of people," Putin said.
Putin said that the Russian authorities are constantly monitoring the restoration and development of the economy, social, transport, and other infrastructure of Donbas and Novorossiya.
"Together with colleagues from the government and regional teams, we assess the situation in each of these regions, we see how specific, key projects aimed at creating new jobs, improving the quality of life of people are being implemented, how the coordination of actions of government agencies, state corporations and enterprises in general is organized, how the sponsorship assistance to Donbas and Novorossiya by our other regions and cities is organized," he added.
Putin said that the socio-economic development program for Donbas and Novorossiya includes about 300 action points.
"Consistent work is currently being carried out in all areas. We are obliged to fully solve all the tasks that have been set," he said.
