Putin: If Europe wants war, Russia is ready

(Patria) - Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today that his country does not want war with European powers, but if Europe wants war, Russia is immediately ready to fight.

Putin said that European powers are setting demands regarding a possible peace settlement for Ukraine that Moscow considers absolutely unacceptable.

- We have no intention of going to war with Europe, but if Europe wants it and starts it, we are ready from this moment on - Putin told reporters before a meeting with US envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow.

He accused Europeans of wanting to hinder American efforts aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

- They do not have a peace program, they are on the side of war - Putin added.
