Pusić confirmed that Croatia filed a complaint against milk exports from BiH, Kalaba announced a protest note

Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, who is participating in the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna, confirmed that Croatia filed a complaint against milk exports from BiH, thereby blocking the possibility for producers from BiH to place their products on the European market.

This was also confirmed to journalists in Vienna by Vesna Pusić, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

A meeting was held in Sarajevo between Ljubomir Kalaba, Director of the Veterinary Office of BiH, and the EU Delegation to clarify why and how the list of approved dairies for export to the EU was withdrawn.

Kalaba said after the meeting that BiH had submitted a protest note, which will be forwarded for further consideration, and that the EU Delegation in Sarajevo still does not know which EU member state filed the complaint and thus halted the export of BiH milk.

He emphasized that the reason for the complaint is still unknown, whether it is technical, political, or of some other nature, and believes that BiH has absolutely fulfilled all the conditions required by the EU and the FVO.

We remind you that the four dairies that received approval for export are Milkos, Meggle, Livno, and Mlijekoprodukt.
