Hands full: About ten fires being extinguished, intervention in Tuzla Canton due to storm

The Federal Civil Administration and firefighting teams have their hands full, given the weather (mis)fortunes that have affected the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria news agency.

Canton 10, Municipality of Bosansko Grahovo.

A wildfire that broke out on July 15, between the villages of Donje Peulje and Marinkovci, remains active. The fire is being extinguished by members of the Bosansko Grahovo Forestry and local residents. Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, City of Mostar.

Municipality of Čapljina

Municipality of Stolac

A forest fire that broke out on July 16, 2015, at the location Rogojevac-Habatnice, on inaccessible terrain, has been extinguished. On the burned area, about 10 km long, grass and low vegetation were burning. There are currently no active fires in the municipality. Municipality of Konjic.

The Professional Fire Brigade of the Municipality of Konjic localized a forest fire (pine forest) above the railway in the place of Ovčari. The fire has been active since July 17. The Professional Fire Brigade of the Municipality of Lukavac had an intervention in extinguishing a forest fire in the settlement of Bokavići. The fire was localized and extinguished.

STORM

Yesterday, in the afternoon hours, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, the area of the Municipality of Srebrenik was hit by a storm accompanied by a downpour and hail. Several local communities were affected, but no damage has been reported so far.
