(Patria) - Pula police will file criminal charges against the 39-year-old driving instructor because he did not react in time yesterday to prevent more serious consequences in traffic when his trainee, sitting next to him, hit and seriously injured a 49-year-old pedestrian with the driving school vehicle.
The Istrian police announced today that the accident happened around noon when a 29-year-old, as a trainee at a Pula driving school, failed to yield at an intersection while turning and collided with a Fiat coming from the opposite direction.
After the collision, the Fiat was thrown onto the sidewalk, where it hit a 49-year-old pedestrian who was transported to Pula hospital due to serious injuries.
A criminal complaint is being filed against the 39-year-old driving instructor for causing a traffic accident because, as an instructor with available controls, he did not react in time to prevent more serious consequences in traffic.
