An armed man who opened fire on restaurant patrons in the eastern Czech town of Uhersky Brod on Tuesday killed eight people, Czech public television announced, reports the Patria agency.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the armed incident occurred in Uhersky Brod, about 300 kilometers southeast of Prague, but declined to comment on reports of casualties. It is believed that there were 20 people in the restaurant during the shooting.
