Shooting in Germany: Dead and Injured, Attacker Killed

(Patria) - Several people were killed and several injured in today's attack in Lautlingen, a town in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, reported the German newspaper Bild.

The attacker was reportedly a hunter. A police spokesperson confirmed that the general public was not endangered.

Bild writes that the hunter allegedly killed several members of his family with a firearm after an argument.

Police confirmed that two men and one woman were killed, including the suspected attacker. Two other women were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

About ten ambulances and two rescue helicopters participated in the intervention, and they still surround the currently cordoned-off area.

The situation unfolded near the Badkap recreational pool, and according to the newspaper "Schwäbische Zeitung" and eyewitness accounts, people in the vicinity fled to a nearby inn.

The attacker, Bild reports, possessed several firearms. It is believed that special police forces should also arrive at the scene.
