(Patria) - In an office building in Manhattan, New York, 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura opened fire, killing four people, including an unarmed police officer, while one person was seriously injured.
The attacker, dressed in a bulletproof vest and armed with an M4 rifle, first shot a security guard by the elevator, then killed another person on the 33rd floor, where he then committed suicide.
The incident occurred around 6:30 PM in the building at the corner of Park Avenue and 52nd Street, which houses the headquarters of the Blackstone company.
Police announced that Tamura had traveled from Nevada, crossing several states before arriving in New York.
