- This is a truly shocking event that has resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of two men. I understand the concern this will cause in the local community and across London.
I want to assure the public that a team of experienced detectives is already working intensively to shed light on last night's events and to identify the perpetrators of this horrific act of violence - said Detective Chief Inspector Tony Josephs of the Metropolitan Police's Northwest Unit.
He then addressed potential witnesses to the event.
- If you were in the vicinity of Gifford Close at the time of the shooting or have any information about who is responsible, please contact us. The family is devastated, and together we must do everything we can to provide them with answers - said Josephs.
