Shooting in Sarajevo city centre: One man wounded, two arrested

(Patria) - One person was wounded in a shooting that occurred in the evening hours in the centre of Sarajevo, in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel "Europe".

The Stari Grad Sarajevo Police Department was notified around 8 PM that a firearm had been used in Vladislava Skarića Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers confirmed the allegations from the report.

One man sustained injuries caused by the use of a firearm and is currently undergoing medical treatment.

Two men were, by the swift reaction of police officers, deprived of their liberty immediately after the incident.

More information will be known after the investigation, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton announced.
