Shooting in Banovići: Man Killed, Woman Wounded, Attacker Arrested

(Patria) - One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting that occurred this morning in the settlement of Čifluk near Banovići.

The Živinice Police Station was reported around 10:40 AM that a firearm was used in the settlement of Čifluk, Banovići municipality, and that there were injured persons.

Police officers from the Banovići Police Station and the Criminal Police Department of the Banovići Police Administration, as well as the Emergency Medical Service of the Banovići Health Center, were dispatched to the scene.

The report was confirmed, and at the scene, the body of a male person with no signs of life and one injured female person were found, who was transported to the University Clinical Center Tuzla.

Additionally, the Rapid Intervention Team of the Special Support Police Unit of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Tuzla Canton was dispatched to the scene, who, together with police officers from the Banovići Police Station, found and brought under control the person linked to the use of the firearm.

The person is H.T., born in 1962, who was deprived of his liberty and then taken to the official premises of the Banovići Police Station.

During the procedure, a firearm, an automatic rifle, which was most likely used in the shooting, was also found.

The duty prosecutor of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office has been informed of everything and will lead the investigation, which will be conducted by investigators from the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Tuzla Canton.
