(Patria) - Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was injured last night in a shooting that occurred during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania, American media report.
Footage shows Secret Service agents escorting Trump off the stage, while panic erupts among the crowd around him. Blood is visible on Trump's right ear, reports Istraga.
It appeared that Trump fell to the ground while giving a speech after several shots were heard. He was then quickly surrounded by armed security (Secret Service) and remained down for about a minute.
After Trump got up, he raised his fist in the air before being escorted off the stage to a vehicle. He was then driven away from the scene.
CNN reports that the presidential candidate has been injured.
US President Joe Biden said he was not aware of the shooting report, speaking to reporters as he left a church in Delaware.

CNN reported that the "security status" around the White House had changed and that the usual crowds on the street in front of the building had been cleared.
