FLORIDA, (Patria) - At least 17 people were killed and 16 were injured in an attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland when 19-year-old student Nikolas Cruz opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle. Cruz is a former student of this school who was expelled for disciplinary reasons.
The attack occurred at the end of classes, and Cruz activated the fire alarm before the attack precisely to get as many students as possible out into the hallway. The students thought it was a fire drill.
Cruz was arrested by the police.
