Shooting in Baščaršija: Man Wounded, Assailant Arrested

(Patria) - Around 11 PM on Thursday, a shooting occurred in Baščaršija. As confirmed by MUP KS spokesperson Mersiha Novalić, one person sustained serious bodily injuries.

Police officers from the Old Town Police Department arrested a male, T.Š. (born 1992) from Sarajevo, at 11:30 PM last night on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Causing General Danger and Grievous Bodily Harm against K.H. (born 1995) from Sarajevo.

"Around 11:15 PM, the suspect used a firearm against K.H. in Tabaci street, who sustained a serious bodily injury to his left leg and is currently receiving further treatment at the KCUS," said Novalić.

After criminal processing, he will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.
