As part of the UNESCO Year of Nasuh Matrakči Bošnjak (450 years since his death) event, BZK Preporod Visoko, in cooperation with the Visoko Heritage Museum, is organizing for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina an exhibition of reproductions of miniatures by Nasuh Matrakči Visočanin, reports the Patria News Agency.
The majority of the works were provided from the private collection of Prof. Dr. Ćazim Hadžimejlić, and the rest were provided by the exhibition organizers. The promoter is Prof. Dr. Ćazim Hadžimejlić, who worked on the restoration of Matrakči's original miniatures, and Armin Muzaferija will also support this extremely important event with his active participation.
Following the Round Table, which was the largest scientific gathering ever held in Visoko, this is the second event this month related to the name of Nasuh Matrakči, the most influential Bosniak of the Ottoman period. Thanks to BZK Preporod Visoko, residents of several cities in BiH will have the opportunity to see this exhibition in the next two months. In cooperation with the Visoko Gymnasium and several other institutions, intensive work is being done to organize a central gathering dedicated to Nasuh bin Karagöz bin Abdullah el-Bosnavi, which was Matrakči's real name. The gathering is expected to be held next month in Visoko.
