Iran started delivering crude oil to Europe over the weekend. This is the first delivery of Iranian oil to Europe after a nuclear deal was reached with world powers, announced Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Rokneddin Javadi.
Iran had been under economic sanctions for five years due to its nuclear program, but after Iran reached an agreement under which all Iranian nuclear activities will be placed under IAEA supervision for the next 15 years, the sanctions were lifted. This officially happened in January this year.
This will be a great relief for Iran, which announces hundreds of millions of dollars in investments in the oil industry, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
