SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in China this morning for his first visit since Moscow launched its aggression and military invasion of Ukraine last month.
The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Lavrov landed in the eastern city of Huangshan, releasing photos of delegates descending from the plane and being greeted by Chinese health officials in protective suits.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov today in the eastern Chinese province of Anhui, state television CGTN reported.
Lavrov will attend a series of China-hosted meetings to discuss ways to help Afghanistan.
Diplomats from the United States and Afghanistan's neighboring countries are also expected to attend.
