First refugees from Ukraine arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first Ukrainian refugees have also arrived in BiH, fleeing the whirlwind of war in their homeland, reports N1.

Ukrainian Baldin Mykola with his wife and nine-year-old child arrived in Međugorje yesterday. On the very day of the bombing, he decided to leave Ukraine and come to Međugorje, where he will pray for the Ukrainian people, he said in an interview with N1.

According to his wife, they stayed in Međugorje last year as well, and they plan to stay here for the next month, after which they hope the situation in their country will stabilize. They brought basic necessities, three bags, with them to Međugorje, and they left behind their entire family, house, job, and friends.

Nine-year-old boy Baldin-Lazarovych Mykola misses his cat, grandmother, and teacher the most, and hopes to return to his homeland as soon as possible.
