PROZOR-RAMA: Muslims extinguish fires so Catholic neighbors can celebrate Easter

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Fires are raging in the municipality of Prozor-Rama, and today, on the Catholic holiday of Easter, Muslim residents extinguished fires so that their neighbors could celebrate Easter as dignified as possible under the current circumstances.

"Good things happen in every trouble and difficulty. A lot of sweat was shed to extinguish the fires in the municipality of Prozor-Rama. In Trišćani, the locals organized themselves and stopped the fire far from their homes, even on Trišnjik hill above old Trišćani. The spread was stopped, but the wind and rolling old stumps caused the fire to spread again," writes ramski-vjesnik.ba.

On Easter Day itself, Muslim neighbors organized themselves and went to extinguish the fire so that Catholics could celebrate Easter. They said: "You celebrate, we will extinguish. If it gets too serious, we will call you," reports this portal.

However, the fire was too strong, and everyone had to get involved in extinguishing it again.

As the president of the local community of Gračac, Ivo Topić, said, the fire threatens to descend towards the settlement due to the wind.

Therefore, they are trying to contain the fire on Trišnjik and Baćina.
