The distribution of ministerial positions in the FBiH Government and the BiH Council of Ministers among the coalition parties SDA, HDZ, and DF has been completed five months after the elections, and the names of future ministers are mostly known, writes the Patria News Agency.
As for the names, the SDA has done the most work so far, and has not yet proposed candidates for the Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, the Minister of Education, and the Minister for Veterans' Affairs in the FBiH Government. However, other cadres have received their positions, and judging by their names, Bakir Izetbegović, the deputy president of the SDA, has rewarded his obedient followers, and as things stand, this party will completely control the police and judicial bodies.
Namely, Aljoša Čampara has been proposed as the FBiH Minister of Internal Affairs, who allegedly exerted the most pressure, on Izetbegović's orders, on the Independent Board of the FBiH Police Administration (PFBiH) headed by Sead Selman, to appoint Dragan Lukač as the director of the FUP.
Izetbegović has thus rewarded another member of the NO PFBiH, Nezir Pivić, who, along with Selman, exerted the most pressure on the FBiH Government to confirm Lukač's appointment. Pivić has been proposed as the Deputy Minister of Justice of BiH. He attended the FBiH Government sessions with Selman when the issue of Lukač's appointment was being discussed, and now he has been rewarded for it.
The fact that the Sarajevo Canton Police Union is wholeheartedly fighting to keep Nermin Pećanac as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, even though this position belongs to the Democratic Front, which wanted to appoint Predrag Kurteš, the current FBiH Minister of Internal Affairs, to this position, indicates that the SDA will not only control the police and judiciary at the state and federal levels.
- They have taken over everything they could. Justice, the FBiH Ministry of Internal Affairs, and if they also take over the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, we can expect many fabricated processes against dissidents and their opponents – says our source.
There is a particular fear of fabricated processes ahead of the party congress, which is to be held in May, through which Izetbegović's opponents for the position of party president would be eliminated. Now, the re-appointment of Lukač as director can be expected, even though all relevant institutions in the country have confirmed that this is an illegal appointment made outside of legal procedures, i.e., according to the old instead of the new Law on Internal Affairs.
