(Patria) - A rally in support of Palestine was held in Canada, attended by numerous citizens.
In Toronto, Ontario, demonstrators marched from the city center to a pro-Palestinian camp set up on the University of Toronto campus.
Those gathered carried Palestinian flags and banners reading "Free Palestine", "Stop the genocide" and "Stop the killing of children in Gaza".
Israel attacked the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7 last year in which about 1,200 people were killed.
More than 35,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have since been killed, and more than 79,300 injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
Israel has been accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice. In a provisional ruling in January, Tel Aviv was ordered to stop genocidal acts and take measures to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
