PROTESTS: We want education, schooling, jobs, to free the system from crime and corruption

(Patria) - Citizens are gathering in front of the building of the state judicial institutions, the Prosecutor's Office and Court of BiH and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, and today's protests officially begin at 11:55. Members of the MUP KS are also within the building's perimeter and in front of the protective fence. About 600 citizens have responded to the protests.

The first to call for protests was the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić, and he has already arrived in front of the HJPC building. Mektić issued the call to gather after the "Milan Tegeltija" affair was published, i.e., a video recording in which the President of the HJPC talks with businessman Nermin Alešević about a case pending before the KS Prosecutor's Office. In the same recording, Marko Pandža, an inspector of the Agency for Investigation and Protection of BiH (SIPA), takes 2,000 KM from businessman Alešević for that service, noting that he will "shoe" Tegeltija with that money.

12:48 Draško Stanivuković, a PDP representative in the NSRS, addressed those present, saying this is a fight for lives.

"For life, nothing more, just for life. And every time some politician says we are fighting for a better life, we say there is no better life without the right to life," said Stanivuković.

He noted that politicians from all over BiH have been plundering budgets and not working for the people for 20 years or more.

12:47 Minister Mektić is talking to gathered citizens who express great dissatisfaction with the judiciary's inaction. Several hundred citizens are still in front of the judicial institutions building.

12:30 Nermin Alešević said today in a statement to the media that he still does not know whether he has been granted immunity after being asked in the BiH Prosecutor's Office if he wants immunity.

"I just told them to take that case written on the cake sent to Dalida Burzić and the masks will fall. That case resolves many things in this country. I am ready to answer for bribery, but the court proceedings will show who is right," said Alešević.

He confirmed that the recording published in the media is edited, but that the original is with the British ambassador to BiH.

12:20 Mektić said in his speech that the system must be freed from corruption and crime. The protests were joined by Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc.

"We want a future for our children. We want education, schooling, we want jobs," said Mektić, adding that those who are high-positioned and caught in affairs should be sanctioned.

12:05 The citizens' protests in front of the HJPC, Prosecutor's Office and Court of BiH were joined by businessman Nermin Alešević, who recorded the inspector taking 2,000 KM from him in order to, as he said, "shoe the President of the HJPC, Milan Tegeltija."

11:50 Traffic has been blocked on the street next to the judicial institutions.

Draško Stanivuković, a deputy in the National Assembly of the RS, said that "this is a life-defining gathering."

"I am a young person who wants to stay here. How can I go to the Prosecutor's Office tomorrow and report something when there is no trust? Is it normal for you that the Serb member of the Presidency sides with Tegeltija? By coming to Sarajevo, we refuted the argument that someone wants to destroy the Republika Srpska," said Stanivuković.

11:40 Those present were also addressed by Muriz Memić, father of the murdered Dženan.

"This no longer makes sense. That they have no morals, we see that. For three and a half years we have been talking about crime in the judiciary, that Dalida Burzić is corrupt and that she filed a false indictment, and that indictment was dismissed in court and now they are waiting for something at the Supreme Court even though everything is clear. We presented everything to Milan Tegeltija and all the members and they decided on it, but they did not conduct any investigation. Milan Tegeltija and Dalida Burzić are brother and sister in crime and protect each other. They appointed her as a judge even though they knew the truth, even though they had complaints against her. Dženan was killed, David was killed, two police officers and many others, and they know the truth, but they are corrupt. And now I ask them who orders all this. We know who Tegeltija's boss is, but who is Dalida's? She is everyone's and the most dangerous," said Memić.

Memić announced that after the decision of the Supreme Court of FBiH in the case of Dženan Memić, he will organize protests again.

Mektić was greeted with applause, and as he stated, only with the support of citizens can changes come.

"We do not need such an HJPC. The people need justice. There is no security and economic development without the judiciary. There is general depression. People are leaving. We are not exerting pressure, we just want a state of law. We need justice, dignity, equality. A certain number of families are getting rich, and the people can only choose to leave," said Mektić.

Members of the group Justice for David arrived in front of the Court building, as well as the family of the murdered Dženan Memić. The association Bosanska čast from Zenica also arrived at the protests, and they said they responded to Mektić's call. Emir Hadžihafizbegović also came to the protests, who also called on citizens to gather.

Hadžihafizbegović emphasized that he came to support the gathering because war criminals walk the streets and because a man who supports Milorad Dodik, who is destroying the state, sits in the building of the Court of BiH.

"The emperor is naked and that needs to be said. I ask Tegeltija, if he is afraid, what should we be?" said Hadžihafizbegović.

"The Prosecutor's Office obviously exists to protect the interests of the SDA, SNSD and HDZ, but also some other parties and leaders. We are extremely outraged. If one of us steals a meter of wood, they go to prison, while big criminals are free," say the people from Zenica from the association "Bosanska čast."
