Student protests in Sarajevo: They will not accept a law that fills the budget on their backs

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Student Parliament of the University of Sarajevo began protests at 11:30 AM in the park in front of the Government of Sarajevo Canton to express dissatisfaction with the Draft Law on Higher Education.

According to the Student Parliament of the University of Sarajevo (SPUS), they want to draw attention with these protests that they will not allow their voice and demands to be ignored.

"These protests are the culmination of the negligent attitude of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth and the Government of Sarajevo Canton towards young people who want to build their future in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the students stated.

They emphasize that they are not satisfied with a law that will fill the Canton's budget on the backs of students, bring the University of Sarajevo to the level of private faculties, which does not offer solutions to existing problems, and which does not address corruption in education. SPUS demands that the Law be withdrawn from the procedure.
