Body of a young man found on Velež, Mountain Rescue Service reacted immediately, but there was no salvation

(Patria) - One male person died yesterday on Velež mountain, in the area of Nevesinje municipality. The body of the young man was found on the "Heart of Velež" via ferrata on Velež mountain. The deceased is a 32-year-old citizen of Serbia.

In the late afternoon yesterday, members of the Mountain Rescue Service, Mostar Station, received a report about an accident that occurred on the "Heart of Velež" via ferrata.

As announced by the GSS of the Federation of BiH, GSS Mostar members reacted immediately, and colleagues from Republika Srpska joined them.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS confirmed that one male person died.

GSS Foča, GSS Jahorina, Civil Protection, and the MUP of RS participated in his rescue. A helicopter was also used.
