Promotion of BiH Economy: App Launched for 'Hunting' 387 Barcodes

A group of young people from the 'Buy 387' Association have launched a smartphone application that allows users to scan barcodes from domestic brands and win valuable prizes after collecting enough points, writes Patria.

The Association explains that the goal of the application is to stimulate the purchase of Bosnian-Herzegovinian products, thus helping citizens support the country's economy.

- The game system is very simple: after a user buys a product with a 387 barcode, they check if any of the purchased products are among the current products for the given month. If it is, the user scans the product and gets the points indicated for that product. The top ten users who collect the most points for that month receive valuable gift packages. A user can only scan a current product once during the month to earn points – the Association explains.
