Hypo Bank's name change doesn't solve problems: CHF loan users will fight to the end!

Hypo Bank in BiH, owned by Advent International from the United States and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has a new name – Addiko Bank. All branches will get a new red look in the coming days, but despite changing their name and appearance, all the problems that Hypo Bank had and still has remain, especially in its relations with clients who have loans in Swiss francs, writes Patria.

Hypo Bank in BiH will now operate as Addiko Bank and says "Problems are in the past", but the Association of Swiss Franc Borrowers says on the other hand that problems are not in the past, and the crimes this bank committed remain and are not in the past at all.

- Hypo Bank or Addiko Bank created and gave birth to the Swiss Franc Loan Association and tens of thousands of its slaves in BiH, and this same Swiss Franc Loan Association of BiH will have the final say and prove their past, and thus write their future – say the Association.

Kemal Duraković, president of the Swiss Franc Loan Association for Patria, says that the name change of Hypo Bank has no legal consequences and that all lawsuits pending in courts are still active.

- Imagine if we now called on our members to all change their names. Can we then say that our Swiss franc loans are in the past and that we no longer need to repay these so-called CHF loans with installments twice as high as the original ones – Duraković asks, adding that it would be tragicomic if changing a name could hide someone's proven crime and present it as the past.

- We can also view this in the context that all thieves, criminals, war criminals, and those like them can hide their crimes and wrongdoings very easily by simply changing their name – Duraković adds.

Every single member of the Association continues the fight against Hypo Bank, i.e., Addiko Bank, and under the auspices of the University of Banja Luka – Faculty of Law, on 11.11.2016, an International Seminar on the Legality of CHF Loans will be held.

Lecturers at this seminar will be renowned legal experts and judges from Croatia, Serbia, BiH, and Montenegro.
