(Patria) - Judge of the Court of BiH Goran Radević requested “additional 30 days” to draft the verdict in the “Respirators” case, Istraga announced on its Twitter account.
According to the Law on Criminal Procedure of BiH, a judge is obliged to draft a verdict 15 days after its pronouncement. The first-instance verdict against the Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalić and others was announced on April 5. According to Istraga's information,
Judge Goran Radević is in charge of writing the convicting part of the verdict. However, he currently has certain problems explaining the convicting parts of the verdict.

Judge of the Court of BiH Goran Radević is one of the three members of the judicial panel in the “Respirators” case. As previously written, even after the closing arguments, he assured his colleagues that Fadil Novalić and others were not guilty of organized crime and money laundering, and that it would be difficult to find evidence in the BiH Prosecutor's Office's indictment for a conviction for abuse of office.
However, Radević suddenly changed his mind. Judge Radević advocated for a conviction, with only HDZ's Minister of Finance in the Government of FBiH Jelka Milićević being acquitted, which is what eventually happened!
The plan was for the Court of BiH to convict Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak, and Fikret Hodžić by outvoting Judge Branko Perić, the president of the judicial panel, on April 5, and for a session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH to be held on April 6, where the Government of FBiH would be appointed without the necessary consent of Vice President Refik Lendo. However, the plans changed there as well.

Otherwise, the verdict was known to the public even before it was pronounced, and it seems to have been the case since the first day of the trial. Vasvija Vidović, the lawyer of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, stated at the time that she was shocked and concerned by media reports that the outcome of the verdict against her client was already known and that it was a conviction.
"What I can say is what I have said countless times before, and that is that what the BiH Prosecutor's Office did in this case was a show for the public, a case without a single legally valid piece of evidence," Vidović said.
