(Patria) - A group of Russian militants fighting on the Ukrainian side has called on Wagner mercenaries to join their ranks to avenge the death of the group's founder Yevgeny Prigozhin and their commander Dmitry Utkin.
"You are now faced with a serious choice - you can stand in the stall of the Russian Ministry of Defense and serve as guards for the executioners of your commanders, or take revenge," said the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), Denis Kapustin, in a video address released late on Thursday, Reuters reported.
"To take revenge, you must switch to the side of Ukraine," the commander said.
RVC commander Kapustin, an far-right extremist and Russian citizen, founded the armed group a year ago. The RVC is fighting on the Ukrainian side and has claimed responsibility for several military attacks on Russian border regions.
"Let's stop the bloody meat grinder of the special military operation," Kapustin said in his address to Wagner fighters, using the official Russian name for the invasion of Ukraine.
"After that, we will march to Moscow, and this time we will not stop 200 kilometers before
the Moscow ring road, but we will go all the way," he said.
