PERSECUTION OF POLICE OFFICERS: Prosecutor Begić's son caused an accident drunk, blood alcohol level hidden, conditionally convicted!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Trust in the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been lower. All relevant surveys show this, and it was also discussed at the BiH Parliament.

There are several reasons, and a prime example of why citizens are losing trust and feeling insecure is seen in the arrest of MUP TK police officer T.O., who previously arrested the husband of prosecutor Mirzeta Begić, Mujaga Begić, for disturbing public order and peace.

However, this is not the first problem the Begićs have caused in traffic.

Thus, the Zenica Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Ervin Begić, then a 19-year-old, the son of Tuzla prosecutor Mirzeta Begić, for a traffic accident in which three people were seriously injured on March 8, 2008, in Tuzla.

Begić was charged with severely endangering public traffic under the influence of alcohol, and the Federal Prosecutor's Office assigned the case to the Zenica judicial institutions to ensure an impartial investigation and trial.

Due to excessive speed, he drove over the green island separating the lanes on the main road. On the opposite side, he hit a Golf 5, driven by Miralem Husović (23) from Tuzla. The presence of alcohol in the blood of the inexperienced driver Begić was determined on the spot, but the degree of intoxication was hidden from the public! And so it remains to this day. In the accident, Begić's co-driver suffered severe head injuries and was in a coma for ten days, while Begić suffered a broken thigh bone.

The ZDK Prosecutor's Office told Patria that Begić Ervin was found guilty, and the Court imposed a suspended sentence, determining a prison term of 1 year and 6 months, which will not be executed if the accused does not commit a new criminal offense within 4 years from the date the verdict becomes final.

We draw a parallel between these two cases, where his father Mujaga, according to police testimony, was arrogant after the offense, because the TK Prosecutor's Office inexplicably sided with the Begić family, and published photos to the public that were not related to the charge itself.

They say they want to show what kind of police officers they are, so they published photos of another police officer who was on patrol with T.O. with individuals from the criminal milieu.

All of Mujaga Begić's arrogance was also evident in his statement to the police, in which he said that he speaks loudly normally and always shouts like that because he worked at the DITA Factory!?

We remind you that police officer T.O., a member of MUP TK, was deprived of liberty on suspicion of the criminal offense of "abuse in office".

The police officer was arrested three days after he deprived Mujaga Begić, the husband of TK Prosecutor's Office prosecutor Mirzeta Begić, of liberty for disturbing public order and peace. Tatjana Savić, the lawyer of the arrested police officer, who had been in service and was awarded for outstanding work results, with special emphasis on contributions to protecting the personal and property security of citizens, stated that the TK Prosecutor's Office flagrantly violated the presumption of innocence, because the Prosecutor's Office is making it known to the public that the prosecutor's husband is an exemplary citizen, and the police officers are thugs.
